Congratulations on winning. Thanks to everyone for their entries.

And now for some more fun…
As always, you must be 18 to enter.

Today we have our first ever Choose Your Darkness contest. This fabulous contest offers two even more fabulous prizes. First, you get to pick your choice from the Darkness series. Then you also get a gift certificate from Shiela Stewart to Cafe Press to choose from any number of fantastic items.

Seducing the Darkness – An outcast by her kind, Trinity Ford has learned to live on her own…not an easy thing to do when you’re a vampire.

Desiring the Darkness – With the cloak of darkness surrounding Jacob’s Cove, Dante Vega must work to protect the humans from the blood-thirsty vampires trying to take over the human race.

Embracing the Darkness – Jonah’s lost the will to face another day, which could be a problem, considering he’s just been turned into a vampire and is now destined to live for eternity.

Charming the Darkness – Born from witches, Starla Raine has spent her entire life learning to control and manage her powers. Then she discovers and is drawn to Jacob’s Cove, a city magically cloaked in darkness.

Tempting the Darkness – As love blooms amidst the Darkness, and still no cure in sight, loneliness drives Cooper to drastic measures. He awakens Gabriella and breaks his last promise to her—by turning her into a vampire.

Penetrating the Darkness – Dusty Ryder didn’t ask to be turned into a vampire. Even now, on the brink of his unwilling initiation, he is looking for a way out.

Consuming the Darkness – Detective Nathan Powers lost his partner to the aptly named Heartless Killer, and the trail of bodies leads him straight to Jacob’s Cove. However, this is no typical small town. It’s a strange world populated with bloodthirsty demons and run by a vampire.

Surviving the Darkness – When death is on your trail, the only thing you can do is run.

Comment and be entered to win. Tell us what you love about romantic suspense (and you may be quoted in a future A History post).

Good luck to everyone.

Contest runs until next Saturday the 3rd at Midnight. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winner on our next contest coming next week for Monday Madness.

  1. I love that it is a double edge tension. You have the sexual tension of the attracted character then you through in a tense situation and boy if that doesn’t get your heart pumping nothing will.

I just prefer the action and drama of a romantic suspense story you just seem to get more bang for the buck. (no pun intended)

  2. HI Margie!

LMAO yeah, I’m sure there’s no pun intended. Good one.

This series was a thrill ride for me. It started out as a stand alone but quickly grew out of control. I like my romance with suspense or intrigue. Add more to the story i think. 🙂

  3. Looking at your book titles makes me feel like a kid in a candy story. Each “flavor” is more tempting than the last.

  4. Ooh, thanks for the compliment, Cassie. But might I suggest starting with the first in the series, Seducing the Darkness. It sets the scene for the following four books. Consuming and Surviving can be read without reading the others.

  5. I love the “not really knowing” curiosity that keeps me intrigued while reading. The final realization of who/what/where/when keeps readers glued to a book…and leads me to forgo making dinner, cleaning house, doing my own writing!
Romantic suspense with humor fascinates me. Humor in any type of suspense setting lightens the mood but doesn’t change the story’s dark side.

  6. I like romantic suspense because the female leads in these types of stories are either out of the ordinary or incredibly strong. Either the women are strong willed, physically fit or are unusual in a unique way. These type of books are women who have had a trial by fire and have come through stronger on the other side. These books give these women a strong male counterpart who are manly but give their women an opportunity to shine on their own. The suspense is usually how these 2 characters meet up and see the absolute worst and best of each other. Sometimes the ending isn’t quite what you imagine but they do get there..in the end.

  7. Congrats to the winners!

What do I love about romantic suspense? I love the thrill of the adventure. I try to solve the mystery and I love how the characters fall in love!
